  1. INKA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU – 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT


    This Inka Trail hike to Machu Picchu is a great chance that we provide for people that do not have enough time to hike the 4 days Inka Trail. Hiking a distance of 12 km, this is challenging hike that is going to leave us satisfied, and becoming in a good option for a family vacations.

     

    ITINERARY

     

    DAY 01 (CUSCO – CHACHABAMBA OR KM 104 – AGUAS CALIENTES): 

    This version of the Inka Trail to Machupicchu starts at your hotel, we are going to pick you up at 4:00 am. From there and with the guide we will be transferred for around 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo, where we will take the train to our starting point which is know as a Km 104 or "Chachabamba".

     

    In Chachabamba is also our first check point where we are going to present all our documents (Inka Trail permission and your original passport) to allow us get officially in the Inka Trail to Machupicchu. After the check point we are going to start our hike for 3.5 - 4 hours approximately to Wiñayhuayna, where we are going to enjoy our box lunch. This part of the hike is interesting and beautiful with an enjoyable landscape. After a break in Wiñayhuayna we are going to hike an additional hour to Intipunku "the Sun Gate", from there we are going to have great view of Machupicchu and all the surrounding mountains. After this we will continue going down, in this case to the citadel of Machupicchu (30 min.). Later we will take a bus to Aguas Calientes and we will be transferred to our hotel, arriving there at around 5 in the afternoon, and enjoy a nice dinner fon then enjoy the night.

     

    DAY 02 (AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO):

    This last day we will enjoy the breakfast at 5:00 and then we are goin to take our bus to Machupicchu in Aguas Calientes. We will take the bus for 30 minutes approximately. We will get to Machupicchu and we need to show our entrance ticketsand passports; after that the guide is going to explain about Machupicchu. The guide is going to explain about Machu Picchu for two hours around, After the tour you will have some free time to explore the city, its many different roads and its beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the magnificent place. Congratulation, you made it…

     

    After you have enjoyed the magnificent city of the Inkas you will use your bus ticket to go down to Aguas Calientes and then take the train back to Cusco via Ollantaytambo. The Train leaves at 6:30 in the evening and arrives at Ollantaytambo after 2 hours. At Ollantaytambo there will be a bus waiting for you to take you back to Cusco. Here your journey will end at around 10:30 in the night.
